Overview

The Shoulder & Elbow Course for Residents and Fellows at the OLC Education and Learning Center in Rosemont, Illinois offers hands-on training and practical surgical experience, open to all residents and fellows. Led by top leaders in shoulder and elbow surgery, it features educational sessions, case-based discussions, and skills workshops to enhance surgical techniques and best practices. This course provides an excellent opportunity to deepen knowledge, build technical skills, and gain insights from experienced professionals. It also offers valuable networking opportunities with peers and industry leaders, supporting both professional development and career growth. This course is Non-CME.

Registration

Open to both residents and fellows, this event offers a unique chance to learn directly from experts at the forefront of the field in shoulder and elbow surgery. The registration rate is $950.

We have a room block reserved at Hampton Inn & Suites Rosemont Chicago O’Hare for November 19, 2026 through November 21, 2026 with a special rate of $154 single/double occupancy (includes hot breakfast daily). The hotel is directly adjacent to OLC Education & Conference Center.

ASES Foundation Resident Scholarship Program

The ASES Foundation Resident Scholarship Program provides financial support to outstanding PGY-2 and PGY-3 orthopaedic surgery residents interested in shoulder and elbow surgery. Four scholarships of up to $2,000 each will be awarded to support participation in the 2026 ASES Shoulder and Elbow Course for Residents and Fellows.

The course offers an exceptional educational experience featuring expert faculty instruction, interactive case discussions, and hands-on learning focused on the evaluation and treatment of shoulder and elbow disorders.

Scholarship Details

  • Four scholarships of up to $2,000 each
  • Open to PGY-2 and PGY-3 orthopaedic surgery residents
  • Funds may help offset registration, travel, lodging, and other eligible course expenses
  • Applicants should demonstrate an interest in shoulder and elbow surgery and clear educational goals

  • Completed scholarship application
  • Personal statement describing interest in shoulder and elbow surgery and educational goals
  • Letter of support from an ASES member and/or Residency Program Director
